Syma continuous to developed and provide drone fans with amazing and budget friendly drones, this year Syma introduced again another affordable drone but with more features both new and old technology added to it.
Check out the latest drone in the line, the Syma X5UW quadcopter drone, so far when it comes to its physical look the drone don’t have much difference to other Syma drone, still Syma stick with the minimal style with few alteration to its design. The X5UW drone does have a wider central body with slim arms, but with classier glassy look. Its drone just varies more on size and color when it comes to looks, mostly differs only when it comes to features that we will discussed below.
The remote of Syma X5UW is far different from the usual X5C controller, with the X5UW it is more simple, just the two joystick and a power button, a minimalistic design, it is very possible that some trimming buttons and other controls is on its side (we will find it out soon). Going back to the features and specs let’s have a review/preview of the Syma X5UW drone.
Controlling the Drone – the Syma X5UW features 3D rollover, auto return as well as headless mode, and of course seems like that is not enough, the newest addition to its line of drones, making it more appealing to Syma fans, the one key landing and take off. These features make it easy for the user to fly and land the quadcopter especially for newbies, flying the drone is just a walk in the park. Control the drone up to 100 meters and enjoy flying up to 7 minutes, with the charging time of 60 minutes.
Features and Accessories – another feature that made the Syma X5UW an attractive one is the “altitude hold mode”, the X5UW got a barometer set height feature, and the feature allows you to have a consistent altitude while allowing you to do other stuff with your drone such as pointing your drone to other direction or concentrate on capturing photos and videos. The drone also supports WIFI FPV, stream the live video feed right on your smartphone with up to 30-40 meter distance, no need to worry as the Syma X5UW do have a compatible app for both iOS and Android.
Enjoy taking photos and videos with its 2MP camera, in combination of the altitude mode you can be sure of taking great unblurred aerial photos.
OverAll – Syma really aims to provide its fans with the latest drone packed with different flying features that is only available before to high end drones, the one key return and landing plus the altitude mode makes it a great drone for its price. We just wonder why Syma don’t do much to improve the battery life of its drones, still in its 6-7 minutes of flight time, other than that the Syma X5UW is a cool drone based on its listed specs and features. We will bring you more in-depth review of the drone once we got one.
