One of the big news for the past two weeks , is the notorious Jihadi John, headlines “Jihadi John Dead”, according to the U.S military there is a 99.9 percent assurance that the western terrorist is dead, vaporized by a missile strike, a drone strike.

But what is the drone that the U.S military used to annihilate Jihadi John?

Well meet the MQ-9 Reaper the drone that killed Jihadi John, The MQ-9 Reaper is the familiar drone that we always see on TV, on the news used by the U.S government, the unarmed aerial vehicel (UAV) formerly Predator B, the drone is said to be responsible for most of the drone strikes in the middle east.

The drone worked as intelligence, surveillance drone but during the Iraq invasion it was equipped with ordnance payload. The weapons for the MQ-9 reaper Drone are GBU-12 Paveway II laser-guided bomb, the AGM-114 Hellfire II air-to-ground missiles, the AIM-9 Sidewinder and the GBU-38 JDAM. The AGM-114 Hellfire II missile is said to have been used in killing Jihadi John.
